THE JOAN KARNELL CANCER CENTER

The Joan Karnell Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital provides extraordinary cancer care in the most supportive of settings; we offer an interdisciplinary approach to diagnosis, treatment, research and education. Services include cancer prevention, education, screening, risk evaluation, research, diagnostics, treatment, support, rehabilitative care, palliative care, end of life management and survivorship programs. Because the experience of cancer is already expensive, even for those insured, we provide all supportive care services at no cost to the patient. Supportive care services include nutritional counseling and programs, palliative care program, cancer genetics, cancer clinical trials, psycho-oncology program, spiritual counseling, art and music therapy, shiatsu massage, geriatric oncology program, and cancer survivorship. All funds raised are directed to providing these services to patients and families living with, through and beyond a cancer diagnosis.
